LADAKH
In the summer of 2014, I spent three weeks in the mountains around Leh, trekking at altitudes between 5,000 and 6,300 meters, all the way up to Stok Kangri. It had long been a dream of mine to get closer to the Himalayan peaks, and standing among them felt both humbling and exhilarating.
As fate would have it, my journey coincided with the 33rd Kalachakra empowerment. After returning from the mountains, I was fortunate enough to witness this rare gathering and even see the Dalai Lama. The experience felt like a profound gift — as if the physical journey through the high passes naturally led to a deeper, spiritual encounter.
